Description: A Patient Safety Sitter is used to help keep a patient safe when a patient is at risk of harming themselves by pulling lines, falling, wandering and other behaviors.  A Patient Safety Sitter is responsible for continuous monitoring of the patient closely at the bedside at all times and never to be leaving the patient alone.  The Patient Safety Sitter may intervene by assisting the patient to toilet, ambulate, reposition or prevent the patient from pulling on lines.
