Physical Therapist Assistant - Aquatics Instructor

Education/Training Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapist assistant program; current Senior Lifesaving certificate required; WSI and adapted aquatics background recommended.
Experience No prior experience required. Licensure or a registration eligibility in the state of Minnesota.
Job Knowledge: Operation of physical therapy equipment, understanding of pathology, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, knowledge of hospital and department policy, knowledge of pool basic maintenance. A knowledge of growth and development; specifically an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. An understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Description: A skilled technical worker who performs physical therapy procedures and related duties as delegated by the physical therapist under whose direction the employee is responsible. Primary responsibility is the therapeutic pool program conducted at Willmar Regional Treatment Center.
